The evening started out cool and overcast, but warmed up slightly as the clouds cleared.  At 65 degrees it turned into a great night for the distance athlete.   Among the top distance athletes competing was Matt Boyles, second in the 20 kilometer race walk at the 2008 Olympic Trials and Josh Wiseman an NAIA national collegiate champ and a qualifier for the 2012 Olympic Trials in the 20k walk.   Jill Cobb, former American record holder in the 3,000m, competed in the mile walk.

 

In other events Dave Diercks from the Miami Valley TC achieved a provisional mark for the USA Nationals in Eugene in the Javelin with a hurl of 233'1".
