VILLAGE FUN RUN RESULTS

The 24^th Annual Village 2 Mile Fun Run had two new, or rather, three new winners this past Sunday night at Yellow Springs HS.  While Dominique Gerard, an 8^th grader at Ankeny Junior High in Beavercreek, dominated the women’s race, the men’s side was a total Samandy.  Bulldogs Peters and Borchers couldn’t decide who would win the traditional watermelon awarded the overall winners.  As a result the big knife came out and the first place melon was halved as the high school duo tied in 11:53.8.  Gerard, like Borchers and Peters, who was among the Nation’s best this summer with the Miami Valley TC, finished 5th overall in 12:33.
