Welcome, to the Miami Valley Track Club webpage.
The Miami Valley TC is a USATF member club based in Yellow Springs, Ohio. It has been providing the opportunity for young people to participate in the National Junior Olympic programs for Track & Field and Cross Country since 1982. All track & field events are conducted, as appropriate, for each age group. Age groups start at 7 years of age and are divided into 2 year divisions.
But it is not just for kids. Everyone is invited to participate. In fact, four (4) of the club’s athletes participated in last summer’s Olympic Trials with Jill Cobb placing 4th overall as the club’s top finisher with Susan Randall 7th. Over the years, many other athletes have qualified for and represented the USA as part of the National Team or Junior National Team in international competitions. Many others participate in the competitions available for Masters (35 and older).
For those athletes that are interested in practicing with other like-minded athletes over the summer, the Miami Valley TC conducts practices on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6pm – at the Yellow Springs HS Track. For most athletes the program concludes with the USATF Junior Olympic National championships at the end of July.

RACE WALK CLINIC
A Race Walk Clinic will be held for all interested athlete athletes in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky & West Virginia on Sunday, June 2nd at Yellow Springs HS @ 1-4pm. The Clinic will be taught by some of the top athletes and coaches in the USA. This will be a free event.
The clinic will also provide basic event information so that athletes can compete in all race walks conducted as part of the Miami Valley TC’s Wednesday evening series of mini-meets in June & July as well as USATF Junior Olympic Competitions.
Information on College Scholarships for race walking as well as international competition opportunites in Race Walking as a member of a USATF National team will also be discussed - with handouts provided.
